Traditional, vibrant and very busy, The Beehive bar is the heart of Montpellier’s favourite local pub.
It offers a wide range of locally-sourced real ales, including favourites from Battledown Brewery and The Festival Brewery both of which are based here in Cheltenham as well as the ever-popular Jouster from Goff’s at Winchcombe. It also features ciders from Westons at Much Marcle in Hereford and Thatchers in Somerset.
In addition, you can choose from over twenty wines, all available by the glass and by the bottle, specially selected from boutique vineyards around the world.
Bar food always available, cooked to order.
A proper ‘back street boozer’ with an eclectic mix of followers, from young to old, professionals to trades persons, ladies and gentlemen, all mix well in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere with a drink in hand.
Roaring fire in winter, windows open to the garden in summer.
A gentle selection of background music does not cover the pleasant chatter of people meeting, eating and conversing in the unpretentious surrounds of the very traditional bar.
Away from the buzz of the main bar, an area we call The Snug, is a cosy, comfortable and pleasant area in which to eat, chat, relax and drink.
Unhurried and attentive service is provided at the bar by the Beehive’s elite beverage dispense team headed up by General Manager Matt Walker.
The thing about the Beehive is, it works, but no one knows why.... it just does! We are here to look after it, not to change it but to keep it ‘buzzing’ until the next incumbents are lucky enough to stumble across it.
